 Vox advertisement (1966).Vox: It's What's Happening
1966 Vox released several advertisements under the title 'Vox: it's what's happenng' in 1966-67. The mid sixties were very much their heyday, supplying equipment to the Beatles, Stones, and many many more.
Vox had made numerous special instruments for Brian Jones, and he is pictured here with the very first Phantom Mark III, which was to evolve into the Mark VI soon afterwards. This guitar was hand-built for Jones in late 1963 by Vox designer Michael Bennett.
