Gibson 1958 electric guitars and amplifiers catalogue, page 36. 1958 was an inovative year for Gibson, with several new models - two shown here are the Flying V and the thinline semi acoustic ES-335TD. Initial sales of both models were not amazing; from 1958-59, only 909 ES-335s and just 98 Flying Vs were shipped.
