The 1958 Gibson catalogue features both the single pickup and twin pickup ES-175 models. Interestingly, only the 175D is pictured with humbuckers. It is true that the twin-pickup instrument did away with the single coil P90s first, however this situation did not last long. |

The November 1959 pricelist did not list the Natural-finished ES-175, and indeed, shipping figures show no such instruments shipped, although the last five were shipped in 1960. |
