Gretsch 6073 Bass GuitarThe 1967 Gretsch boomers bass guitar catalogueThe Image and details shown are from the 1967 Gretsch 'boomers' bass guitar catalogue that also features the 6070, 6071 and 6072 models

Peter Tork of the Monkees playing a Gretsch 6073

The Gretsch 6073 bass was a double pickup hollowbody bass. The single pickup version was the 6071, and both were shortscale (29 inch)

This was the model that Peter Tork from the Monkees used extensively in the late sixties. Mike Nesmith played a 6123 'Monkees' guitar, which was also made available as a bass for Peter Tork, though it never saw commercial production.
