Instrument details

manufacturer model inst. type vintage musician name notes
Gibson  Victory Standard  electric bass  1981  Mark MacDonald  Recorded running through a Bellari RP520 preamp, one output to a Garnet Rebel Reverb head with matching 2x15" cab, the other output to a Bogen challenger head pushing 2 DIY 12" cabs. A touch of overdricve was added vs the original mix.
Gibson  Sonex-180 custom  electric guitar  1980  Peter Ingram  Original pickguard replaced with a steel one - acts almost like a reso and makes it a hair raunchier (and much louder unplugged). Recorded through the same setup as the Victory bass above.
Gibson  EB-3  electric bass  1965/66  Jake Bros  This bass overlaps the original bassline during the choruses and intro, and then replaces it starting from about the bridge on out. It was recorded thru an MXR stereo chorus direct thru a Bellari 520 preamp. Varitone position 1 was used.
